| Belkis Galainena, CBP Belkis Galainena, Laya Seghi, Amy Freund, Helise Dubnick and Annemarie Brander have visited the Lotus House and offered BodyTalk sessions and BT ACCESS to the staff members. It is a wonderful opportunity to give to these women who are giving so much to our community. On Wednesdays, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm volunteers are needed to offer BT ACCESS to the residents as well as staff members. Contact Belkis for further information to volunteer. 305.854.8184. |
| Start the New Year right and help the less fortunate! We need volunteers who are wiling to contribute 2 hours of their time offering BodyTalk ACCESS at the Lotus House Shelter for Women in Miami from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. You don't have to be "certified" to help bring BodyTalk ACCESS to these women. All module 1/2 graduates and BodyTalk ACCESS Technicians are welcome! Come and share the great joy of helping others. Lotus House is a unique women's resource center and residential facility serving women who are homeless or at risk of being homeless, whether due to domestic violence, untreated medical or mental illness, disability, loss of employment or other economic reasons. A quiet enclave in the heart of one of Miami's poorest neighborhoods providing shelter and support, the Lotus House offers a sanctuary from life on the streets - a place where the mind, body and spirit of women and infants most in need are supported and nurtured. Lotus House is not a typical short term shelter, but a place where the minds, bodies and spirits of women most in need are nurtured and supported to empower them to improve the quality of their lives on every level, achieve greater self sufficiency, and transition to permanent homes off the streets.
