How does my body talk if I am not saying
anything?
Each of us is born with an innate wisdom
which understands and directs our body's
functions. It is this innate wisdom which
allows us to breathe without thinking and
digest our food without worrying about each
step. The BodyTalk practitioner connects
with the innate wisdom through the muscle
checking technique and uses a sophisticated
protocol chart to determine, through the
innate wisdoms guidance, where your
bodymind is out of balance and
miscommunicating.
How many times will I have to come back?
Each person responds in ways unique to
them and their goals but generally a client is
seen at least 3 times, at which time they
reevaluate their progress and goals with the
practitioner. The practitioner asks the
client's innate wisdom how long the
processing time is between sessions and
when the recommended time is for a return
session.
Can BodyTalk tell me if I have an unknown
illness?
BodyTalk is a non diagnostic form of energy
balancing and therapy. At no time will a
practitioner prescribe any medications.
BodyTalk does not recommend that anyone
stop their medical care. BodyTalk blends well
with all forms of healthcare and wellness.
Is BodyTalk a spiritual type of healing?
BodyTalk is a health and wellness system of
care which incorporates the knowledge of
western medical expertise, the energy
dynamics of acupuncture, the philosophy of
Osteopathy and Chiropractic, the clinical
findings of applied kinesiology, the wisdom of
advanced yoga, the study of Bioenergetic
Psychology, and the insights of Quantum
Physics. It has no religious basis or
affiliations.

What is a BodyTalk session like? Do I lay on a table?
A BodyTalk session is conducted with the client laying down
on a massage table, fully clothed. If you are unable to lay
down, the session may occur while sitting in a chair. The
practitioner uses a simple and safe muscle checking
technique which is a form of bio feedback usually using your
arm or hand with a gentle movement, to establish
communication with your bodymind.
The practitioner establishes a yes/no response and then
uses an extensive protocol to determine the areas where
the energy is not flowing and the information is
miscommunicating. Once the practitioner has established
the links of communication that are needed, she will tap on
your head to notify the brain to balance the links and then
tap on your heart to store the information and changes.
How long does a BodyTalk session last?
The time will be variable depending on the practitioner, but
the general session will last from 30 minutes to an hour.
Your first session will be longer as it includes filling out an
intake form and discussing your goals.
What will I feel during the session?
Everyone's response is unique to them, but generally clients
report feeling very relaxed and peaceful. Some notice the
movement of energy which may feel like warmth, tingling or
a coolness. Your body may ask for a balancing in your body
chemistry so it is recommended that you drink plenty of
water after your session.
How long before I notice any results?
Some clients notice an immediate change while others
require a longer processing time. Your reponses will
depend on what your concerns are and how long you have
been experiencing imbalance.
